JCI Dhaka Premier holds first general member's meeting of 2024
JCI Dhaka Premier proudly hosted its first General Member's Meeting of 2024, marking the beginning of a dynamic year filled with impactful initiatives and community engagement.  The meeting, held on Saturday (March 2), brought together members from across the region to discuss upcoming projects and opportunities for collaboration. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Imran Kadir, the National President of JCI Bangladesh, and Ashabus Safa, the Local President of JCI Dhaka Premier. Their participation underscored the importance of community involvement and the commitment to fostering positive change. Additionally, the board of Dhaka Premier were present including Executive Vice President Gazi Nayeem Manzoor,  Vice Presidents Md. Asifur Rahman and Syed Ziaul Ahsan. Secretary General Gazi Shahriar Islam Mridul and Treasurer Md. Shahinur Rashid were also present. To add more light to the board, Local Directors including Syed Moinul Ahsan, Mosharraf Hossain Saikat were present.  Last but not the least, Local Committee Chairs namely Ariana Afrin, Ayman Nasim and Md.Shoeb shared the floor and represented the Dhaka Premier Board of Directors 2024. During the meeting, general members also had the opportunity to share their ideas and insights on various community projects and initiatives. About 80% of the General Members were present during the meeting. Discussions ranged from youth empowerment programs to environmental sustainability efforts, highlighting the diverse interests and passions of the JCI Dhaka Premier community. "I am delighted to see the enthusiasm and dedication of our members at our first General Member's Meeting of 2024," said Ashabus Safa, Local President of JCI Dhaka Premier. "Together, we are poised to make a meaningful impact in our community and inspire positive change." JCI Dhaka Premier unveils new executive committee
Recently, JCI Dhaka Premier is pleased to announce the formation of its new executive committee for the year 2024 following an Extraordinary General Assembly in a reputable restaurant in Banani . The highlight of the evening was the official passing of the chain of leadership from Jannat Ara Mukta, Immediate Past Local President to Ashabus Safa who has been chosen as the new local president of 2024 in the presence of all the General Members of JCI Dhaka Premier. This momentous occasion took place in the esteemed presence of Imran Kadir, the 2024 National President of JCI Bangladesh, following by Kazi Fahad the National Treasurer, Md Fazle Munim and Rafaelur Rahman Mehedi as National Vice Presidents and other important National board members of JCI Bangladesh. Ashabus Safa, the newly appointed local president, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and pledged to lead the Chapter with dedication and passion.  "I am honoured to take on this role and am committed to uphold the values and principles of JCI Dhaka Premier," Ashabus Safa remarked. The newly formed executive committee includes Gazi Nayeem Manzoor as the executive vice-president, with Asifur Rahman, Syed Ziaul Ahsan and Sayeedur Rahman Miraz assuming the roles of Local Vice Presidents. Rukiya Ismat as training commissioner, Gazi Shahriar Islam Mridul as the Secretary General, Md Shahinur as the treasurer, Mosharraf Hossain Saikat, Syed Moinul Ahsan and Tonmoy Deb Sonet have been appointed as directors on the board, joining Md Shoeb, Ayman Bin Nasim and Ariana Afrin as Committee Chairs. JCI Dhaka Premier is an affiliate of JCI Bangladesh, a global non-profit organization comprising young, active citizens aged 18 to 40, dedicated to creating positive change in their communities. The newly elected executive committee members bring a wealth of experience, enthusiasm and commitment to further the organization's mission.  "We are thrilled to introduce our dynamic and dedicated executive committee for 2024. JCI hosts Outstanding Young Persons Award
Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh has hosted the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Award 2020 to recognize youths for their outstanding contributions to society. The event commenced at a five star hotel in Dhaka on Saturday. Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen graced the occasion as chief guest while Member of Parliament Nahim Razzaq graced the event as special guest. The awardees are Sheikh Tonmoy, Shams Mahmud, Safwan Sobhan, Siddikur Rahman, Akbar Ali, Hridoy Khan, Ayman Sadiq, Tanvir Ahmed, Nobonita Chowdhury and Reazul Kabir. JCI’s TOYP award honours ten incredible young leaders under the age of 40 each year. These individuals exemplify the spirit of the JCI Mission and have extraordinary accomplishments in the development of society. The award recognized achievements in various categories such as business, economic, or entrepreneurial accomplishment; political, legal, or governmental affairs; academic leadership or accomplishment; personal improvement or accomplishment; medical innovation; cultural achievement; and humanitarian or voluntary leadership; etc. National President of JCI Bangladesh Ms Sarah Kamal stated that we will be developing leaders for a changing world and focus on sustaining and rebuilding economies, motivating the workforce, preserving mental health and cultivating a global leadership mentality among members, amplifying their existing skills and talents through high quality events and training. JCI is a global organization of young leaders aged 18-40 who are dedicated to creating the positive change they wish to see in themselves and the world.  The community has more than 150, 000 active members in 105 countries. JCI Bangladesh every year takes the initiative inrecognizing the contribution of youth in the society. JCI Bangladesh elects new board for 2019
Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh has elected their new board for the year 2019 in the general assembly held at a hotel in the capital on Saturday. The general assembly was held in presence of all the chapters’ delegates of JCI Bangladesh. With an ever-lasting impression of delight and pledge of a brighter future for the Bangladesh the new board was elected. Said a press release.   Irfan Islam was elected as National President for 2019, who is currently serving as Executive Vice President of JCI Bangladesh. Sarah Kamal was elected as National Executive Vice President for 2019. Along with them Arman Ahmed Khan, Salehin F. Nahiyan and Ismat Jahan were elected as National Vice Presidents of JCI Bangladesh. Besides, Erfan Haque was appointed as National Secretary General, Mir Shahed Ali as National General Legal Counsel and Sakib Ahmed as Treasurer for 2019. Abu Taleb Siddique was appointed as Chair, Bangladesh Development Council and Ziaul Haque as Chair, International Affairs. Mehzabeen Aziz was appointed as Special Assistant to National President. Mehedi Hossain, Kanij Fatema, Mahamudun Nabi, Shafiqul Alam, Shahedul Azam, Abrar Hossain Sayem were selected as 2019 National Directors. Hasib Reza was selected as 2019 National Training Committee Chair. The General Assembly was conducted by 2018 National President Fayaz Atiqul Islam of JCI Bangladesh. Mentionable that, Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a worldwide organization of young professionals and leaders between the ages of 18 and 40. The organization is found in over 120 countries and has a membership of 200,000 across the world. Its duty is to contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing the opportunity for young people to develop the leadership skills, social responsi­bility, fellowship, and entrepreneurship necessary to create positive change. JCI Bangladesh to change society with youth
Bangladesh is a potential country. The most shows potential wealth of this country is its emerging youth. Junior Chamber International - JCI Bangladesh, a youth organization, wants to change the society by utilizing this youth. The group is working in Bangladesh since independence with this target. The organization is currently doing various positive works through the network accross country and abroad. In its continuation, JCI Bangladesh is organizing a major workshop called 'Be The Change' in Capital’s Mohakhali on September 7, Friday. On behalf of JCI Bangladesh's various activities, the organization’s National President Fayaz Atiqul Islam, National Vice President Mr. Erfan Haque and National Executive Vice President Irfan Islam have recently talked to RTV Online. Sahinur Rahman, senior newsroom editor of RTV Online took the interview. RTV Online: First we would like to know about JCI and JCI Bangladesh. JCI Bangladesh: Junior Chamber International - JCI is an international organization. Currently, JCI's activities are running in 120 countries around the world. It is primarily a non-profit based organization. The Organization has more than 200,000 young people in the world. Those who are 18 to 40 years old. JCI formed in the United States of Missouri in 1915. It works for the global network of active young people and their development. JCI is basically a chamber organization of young businessmen, entrepreneurs and professionals. Currently the organization has 5000 communities. It is known in Bangladesh as JCI Bangladesh. Bangladesh got the position of member of this organization in 1971. RTV Online: How is JCI changing society with young people? JCI Bangladesh: Here, young people from the country and abroad are working through a powerful network. The organization works in positive social change. JCI mainly works with its members or outside youth. But firstly It keeps the importance on their own members. The organization has some programs. Such as International Training, which organizes courses and enhances the skills of the members. JCI Bangladesh is a Leadership Platform. JCI offers training and workshops on various topics including Professional, Interpreter. But it must be Youth backgrounded. The organization provides international recognition to 10 young people all over the world. JCI operates around 500 projects worldwide, under the sustainable development targets announced by the JCI US. JCI works in the social development and sustainable development of young people of Bangladesh. About 70 percent of the current population of Bangladesh is young. So our responsibility is to transform these young people into active citizens. Because they will lead the next day. Through this organization, working with government / non-governmental organizations related to the delivery of citizen services to the poorer people of the society, creating a young entrepreneur and facilitating their facilities is a part of our activities. As it is presumed, someone wants to establish a school. But it is not possible for him to do it alone. In this case, JCI creates a platform for collaboration with related stakeholders; Build the network. JCI's training is usually on shelf development. The organization also has some community-based programs - such as Healthcare, Leadership, Communication, Education, Hygiene, Road Traffic Earnes. JCI makes such a variety of events that create awareness in society. Such as giving a message to the youth about an issue. Make them motivating, socially oriented. For example, in the beginning of this year, the organization united successful young entrepreneurs in a variety of events through an event. On the ceremony, there are various issues related to the success. Through different stories of successes come up here. JCI Bangladesh: Junior Chamber International Bangladesh is organizing the biggest workshop in 2018. In where 12 successful people will narrate the story of their dreams and to fulfill their dreams. Besides, what they are playing in the leading role in society will also come out. The workshop will be held on Friday 7th September at the RAWA Convention Helmet Hall in Mohakhali. For the first time at that ceremony, JCI has organized curriculum vitae (CV) collections. There are also raffle draws for the participants. Membership is available on the basis of their recommendation. But the age is the subject matter. Being a member of JCI, he must be 18 to 40 years old. JCI has 14 chapters in Bangladesh. Members are included through them. Those chapters work locally. They mainly provide training on various topics, work in community development. You can be a member of that chapter with an annual fee. JCI Dhaka Uptown holds General Meeting
JCI Dhaka Uptown, a chapter of Junior Chamber International- JCI Bangladesh holds the first general meeting of 2018 at Banani club on February 24. The board of the organization unanimously passed a plan of action for the year, which includes launching their flagship project this year ‘Bridge to Success’ and continuation of their on-going projects. Said a press release of the organization. JCI a non-profit international non-governmental organization of young people between 18 and 40 years old, which has been helping the young community of Bangladesh to become better active citizens and provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change. The chapter’s president, Abrar Hossain Sayem said, every day we must strive for the betterment of our community which would lead to a better future for the World. It’s a joint effort gathering 116 countries globally and our main project this year Bridge to Success (B2S) would recognize the best of minds and intellects from around the country who are not getting the deserved recognition. We will hold the mission of recognizing and connecting those talents with opportunities and recognition through this sustainable project and a big event annually. Secretary General of JCI Dhaka Uptown Khandakar Galib Bin Sattar also said, everyone deserves an opportunity, Bridge to Success will not only create a pathway to success but will also create a platform which recruits investors, talented students and young entrepreneurs to meet. 26 members and 7 board members were present in the meeting. MOU was signed with Silva Bangladesh for the benefit of the JCI members and a customized mind science course was promised to be structured and be given for the JCI members which will look into the ways of handling professional life stress and increasing productivity. Ongoing project of JCI Dhaka Uptown was also discussed which works on many social issues, amongst which one is to provide and teach internet usage to kids in the schools of village in JCI Village, Parmeshardi, through which they can stay connected with the cities opportunities and also can get useful information for their developments.
