63 individuals to attend Hajj at government expense

A total of 63 individuals are set to perform Hajj at state expense this year. But they have to pay the air fare.

On Wednesday (May 8), the Ministry of Religion released the list of those who performing Hajj at government expense.

According to the letter sent from the Ministry of Religion and the Hajj and Umrah Management Rules, 2022, 63 people have consented to perform Hajj with the financial support of the government. The nominees will have to pay Tk 194 thousand 800 for the air ticket for performing Hajj at state expense.

Persons who performing Hajj at state expense will go to Saudi Arabia on June 6 and return to Bangladesh on July 10. The passport of those Hajj performer with the financial support of the government should be valid till December 30.

Last year, a total of 23 people performed Hajj with financial support from the government, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
