Depression intensifies into cyclone ‘Titli’

The deep depression created in the Bay of Bengal has turned into a cyclone. The depression turned into cyclone on Tuesday afternoon. It has been named as cyclone ‘Titli’. Met office confirmed Rtv about the information that the cyclone may hit the Bangladesh coast on October 11 midnight.

Rain has been pouring since Tuesday morning with the influence of deep depression created in the Bay. The met office has asked the maritime ports including the Chittagong port to hoist the distant cautionary signal number 1.

According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone ‘Titli’ situated over the East-central Bay and West-central Bay has advanced to the West-north-west and remained in the same area.

Following impact of the depression 38.2 millimeters rainfall was recorded in Chattogram over the last 24 hours till 9 am. It has turned into a deep depression moving to the North-west. All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay and deep sea have been advised to remain in shelter till further notice.
