Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is returning home from Bangkok today (Monday) after a six-day official visit to Thailand.

Confirming the matter, a source in the PM's Press Wing said, 'The Prime Minister is scheduled to leave Bangkok on Monday morning (local time). She will reach Dhaka at 11.30 am.'

It is also said that she arrived in Bangkok on April 24 on a bilateral and multilateral visit to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries at the invitation of her Thai counterpart Srettha Thavisin. He arranged a warm red carpet welcome upon Sheikh Hasina's arrival at Don Mueang International Airport. There Sheikh Hasina received a guard of honor and a song salute.

Sheikh Hasina described this 6 day visit as part of broader focus on the "neighbourhood" policy, as it has provided an excellent opportunity for the two countries to further renew the momentum of bilateral relations.

Besides, she paid a courtesy call on the King and Queen of the Kingdom of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana at Amphorn Satharn Throne Hall in Dusit Palace on April 25.
