Bangladesh sizzles in highest temperature since 1972

The country is burning in intense heat. The temperature is rising day by day. At the beginning of summer, public life is disrupted by such intense heat. Meanwhile, the highest temperature in the country is recorded at 43.8 degrees Celsius in Jessore on Tuesday (April 30), which is the second highest temperature in the history of Bangladesh. In Chuadanga, the mercury rose to 43.7 degrees Celsius on the same day.

Earlier, 43.5 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chuadanga in 1995. The highest temperature in the country's history was recorded on May 18, 1972, at 45.1 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi.

The maximum temperature in Dhaka is recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. The highest temperature in Dhaka was 42 degrees Celsius in 1965. Earlier, the highest temperature in Dhaka was 42.3 degrees Celsius in 1960.
