Gas supply resumes in different parts of Dhaka

To avert accident gas supply was stopped in different parts of Dhaka due to pipeline burst at a state owned gas station in Ashulia. Following halt of partial gas supply in Dhaka and adjacent areas it resumed from Sunday morning.

Manager of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited (emergency gas control-North) Engineer Mohammad Enamul Haque told Rtv online that the gas supply has resumed at around 10 am.

He said, after repairing the pipeline the gas supply activities have begun. Full-fledged supply will be ensured by the afternoon.

He also said, we could not inform the subscribers as our preparation for repairing activities was delayed. We informed them on Saturday morning. Later news of gas supply disruption was informed through television news and short message service.
