Mayor Ivy in office after her recovery

Narayanganj City Corporation Mayor Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy has resumed her official activities after returning from Singapore where she went for further treatment.

After getting treatment and rest for long 32 days she began to perform her duties in the City Corporation office. Earlier while staying at home she has signed some important and emergency files.

Selina Hayat Ivy said that she feels better at the moment. But blood pressure is showing some ups and downs. In the morning it was in upper trend but went down to normal in the afternoon.

She said that she feels slight pain in the left portion of her neck and arm. She also informed that she is taking medicines regularly.

The physician said that there is vitamin D deficiency in her body and she looks fatty due to giving steroid. She needs certain time to get well.

On January 18 she suddenly fell sick while talking to two journalists at the city corporation office. Later she was admitted to Labaid hospital in Dhaka.

Ivy went to Singapore for better treatment on February 11. After completing her treatment at Singapore National Hospital she returned to home on February 17.

It is to be mentioned here that on January 16 over 50 people were injured including Selina Hayat Ivy in a collision between the followers of lawmaker Shamim Osman and Mayor Ivy over eviction of hawkers from footpaths of Narayanganj.
