Govt hikes petrol, diesel and octane prices

The price of fuel oil has increased again in the country's market. The government has fixed the price of fuel for the third time in coordination with the world market. The new rates will be effective from Wednesday (April 29).

The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources issued a gazette notification on Tuesday (April 30) night fixing the new price of fuel oil.

The price of diesel and kerosene has increased by one taka per liter. At the same time, the price of octane and petrol has been increased by Tk 2.50 per liter.

According to the notification, the price of diesel and kerosene has been increased from Tk 106 to Tk 107 per liter. The price of octane has been increased from Tk 7 126 to Tk 128.50 and the price of petrol has been increased from Tk 122 to Tk 124.50.

Earlier on March 31, the price of diesel and kerosene was reduced by Tk 2.25 per liter and fixed at Tk 106 per liter.
