Lawyers asked to follow order against rally-meeting at SC premises

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has ordered the lawyers to follow strictly the guidelines regarding rallies and processions on all the court premises mentioned in the High Court verdict.

On Wednesday, August 30, A four-member bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, passed the order.

However, At the same time the court also fixed October 19 for hearing a contempt petition filed against seven BNP lawyers, including former attorney general AJ Mohammad Ali, president of Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum.

Advocate Nahid Sultana Juthi appeared for the petitioner. Attorney General AM Amin Uddin represented the state.
