BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia’s medical report has been submitted to the court. BSMMU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Kanak Kanti Barua confirmed the matter. The hearing on her bail is scheduled to be held in the Appellate Division on Thursday.

It was scheduled to submit the medical report on December 5. As some tests were not done for Khaleda Zia then BSMMU authority could not submit the report on that day. For this reason the authority appealed for extension of time. Then the court ordered to submit the report within December 12.

Meanwhile, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at a roundtable organized on the occasion of international human rights day said, steps are being taken to submit the different report altering the BSMMU medical report.

He said, the medical report that the court wanted is yet to come. So far we know that steps are being taken to submit the report replacing BSMMU hospital authority’s report.

Fakhrul alleged that the government is consciously doing work to keep Khaleda Zia in jail and is doing a severe human right violation act. Bails are being granted for other accused in such type of cases but the government is hindering the process for granting bail for her.

On the other hand, security has been beefed up in the Supreme Court area centering the hearing of Khaleda Zia’s bail.
