HC orders closure of schools, madrasas till May 2

The High Court has ordered the closure of primary, secondary schools and madrasa classes till Thursday (May 2) amid the ongoing heat wave.

The HC bench of Justice KM Kamrul Kader and Justice Khizir Hayat passed the order on Monday (April 29).

Heatwave is affecting the whole country. The humidity in the air has also increased.

In this situation the met office again issued a 72-hour heat alert across the country on Sunday.

However, the institutions which have air conditioning system can stay open if their authorities want, according to a notification announced by the Ministry of Education in a circular on Sunday.
