JK people wants to return in normalcy: Indian army chief
During a two days visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army Chief General MM Naravane stated that, in the recent period of time, terrorist-initiated incidents have been decreased remarkably. There is hardly any case of stone-pelting. This indicates the residence of Jammu and Kashmir want to return to normalcy.
While talking about people’s expectations, he said, to bring back normalcy, we are fully prepared. Along with that, we have taken all the necessary initiatives for trouble-free Amarnath Yatra, he added.
Addressing the youths, he urged them to embrace the future and obviate violent tendencies. He said, to prevail the peace and tranquility in the state, and ensure development we must work together for a prosperous life.
Our enemies are continuously working on the other side of LoC, therefore we cannot allow any slops in our preparedness, Naravane added.
“The decades-old mistrust between India and Pakistan cannot be resolve by one night. If, Pakistan continues to observe the ceasefire, stop pushing terrorists inside our borders then these initiatives will incrementally build up trust. The onus is entirely on Pakistan," he further added.
During his visit, the army chief reviewed the security situation along the LoC. Also, received briefings about the measures taken to fight enemies.
