Saudi Arabia has suggested Abu Dis as a future capital of Palestine. To maintain peace between Israel and Palestine, Abu Dis should be Palestine’s new capital Instead of East Jerusalem, they proposed.

The New York Times reports that, last month Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman made this proposal during Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s visit to Riyadh. Two months have been given to Abbas by Saudi government in response to this offer.

Through this offer Palestinians will get a non-contiguous state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip over which they will have only partial sovereignty while the majority of Israeli settlements in the West Bank will remain.

In response to this proposal, Palestine activists released a hashtag “Jerusalem is our capital” on social media.

President Trump’s recognition to Jerusalem as Israel's capital, creates storm of condemnation and criticism all over the world. Protests spread to the Muslim countries.
