Separate boat capsize in Rangamati lake; 5 killed, 3 missing

Five dead bodies were recovered and three people were missing in two separate tourists laden boats capsize in Rangamati lake.
Police said, a boat full of tourists capsized at DC Banglo area while it was heading towards Subolong from Rangamati hanging bridge area. Local people rushed for salvage work and recovered five dead bodies. It is known that the deceased were the workers of Chattogram Pacific Jeans Garments.
On the other hand, three people including two children were missing when a boat carrying 53 devotees of Iskon capsized at Kolar Depo area in the Kaptai lake. The missing persons are-Tumpa Majumder (30), Deblila (10) and Binoy (5). Local administration is conducting the rescue operation.
Additional Police Super of Rangamati Sufiullah told Rtv online, five dead bodies were recovered in connection with two separate boat capsize incidents. Three are still missing.

Meanwhile, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in different districts of Bangladesh on Wednesday (April 10) in conformity with Saudi Arabia.
Metro Rail to remain closed for 2 days during Eid
Metro rail services will be closed for two during Eid-ul-Fitr. As a result, the metro rail movement will be closed for two consecutive days on the occasion of Eid. The day after Eid al-Fitr is Friday. That day is the weekly holiday of Metro rail.

Earlier, the meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee was held at 6.30 pm at the conference room of the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. Religious affairs minister and National Moon Sighting Committee President Md Faridul Haque Khan presided the meeting.
As the moon of Shawwal month was not sighted in the country on Tuesday, the 30th Ramadan ended on Wednesday. As a result, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Bangladesh on Thursday (April 11).
5 killed in launch accident at Sadarghat Launch Terminal
At least Five people were killed when the anchor rope of a passenger launch severed and hit them at Sadarghat terminal in the capital.

Temperature exceeded 40°C, no respite from heatwave in five days

He also said that the temperature in the capital Dhaka has also increased today. The maximum temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 37.6 degrees Celsius today. Which was 37.5 degrees Celsius yesterday.
According to the BMD, Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the country in the next 24 hours from 9:00am today.
5 die from heat stroke across the country
At least Five people have died from heat stroke across the country. Among the deceased, two died in Chattogram, one each in Pabna, Chuadanga and Gazipur.
Two people, including a child, have died of heat stroke in Chattogram. Due to the intensity of heat, the movement of people and vehicles has decreased in different parts of the city.
Severe heatwave continues in Pabna. The highest temperature of the season was recorded at 41.6 degrees Celsius at Ishwardi in Pabna on Saturday. Besides, a man named Sukumar Das (60) died of heat stroke in Pabna town.
On the other hand, a mentally challenged youth has died of heat stroke at Konabari Jail Road area in Gazipur City Corporation.
In Chuadanga, a man named Zakir Hossain died of heat stroke while working in the field.
