Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has found cyber crime proofs against former Officer in Charge (OC) of Sonagazi police station Moazzem Hossain.

The police officer who is closed at the moment has committed the crime by recording the visual statement of late Feni madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi and spreading it on social media.

The information was delivered to the newsmen by PBI Chief DIG Banaj Kumar Majumder at its head office at Dhanmondi in the capital on Thursday.

He said, the report against Moazzem Hossain will be submitted on May 27 for committing cyber crime. The report will be submitted before the court very soon. The investigation revealed that the former Sonagazi OC not only recorded the video on the mobile phone but also tried to harass Nusrat in different ways.

By this time OC Mozzem was withdrawn and attached to Rangpur range. In this incident Feni Police Super SM Jahangir Alam was also withdrawn and attached to the police headquarters.

Miscreants set Nusrat ablaze by pouring kerosene on her on April 6 on the rooftop of her madrasa. She was later admitted to the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

After fighting for her life for five days Nusrat Jahan Rafi succumbed to her injuries on April 10.
