Youngsters call for Dr Kamal to leave Jamaat's company

Young generation imbued with the spirit of the Liberation War has called upon Jatiya Oikyafront top leader and also Gono Forum president Dr Kamal Hossain to leave the party associated with the anti-liberation force Jamaat-e-Islami.

A group of young people under the banner of ‘Young generation imbued with the spirit of the Liberation War’ handed over a memorandum to Dr Kamal Hossain at his office in the city on Sunday afternoon.

In the memorandum, the youths demanded that Dr Kamal has to announce formally to leave the company of Jamaat, leave the company of the patronizes of Jamaat and leave the company of people who distorted the history of Liberation War of Bangladesh.

Mazharul Kabir Shayan, coordinator of the young organisation, said some 150 youths of different government and private universities went to Kamal Hossain to hand over the memorandum.

Receiving it, Dr Kamal thanked them and told them that they would discuss the matter with party leaders, said Mazharul.

During handing over the memorandum, JSD President ASM Abdur Rab, Nagorik Oikya convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Gono Forum General Secretary Mostafa Mohsin Montu and its Executive President Subrata Chowdhury were also present.
