Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, the election time government cannot do other activities except performing the routine work.

She said this while delivering speech as the chief guest over meeting demands of the physicians in BMA council held at the Gonobhaban in the capital on Sunday.

The Prime Minister said, the demands will be met if people of the country would elect Awami League through their votes in future. But by this time we have done a major development in medical sector.

She said, the government is working for bringing medical service to the doorsteps of the people. The countrymen are getting medical service from 18 thousand 5 hundred medical centers. It is government’s duty to ensure treatment for the people who have no ability to go abroad for treatment.

She also said, we tried to serve people while staying in power for ten years. The aim of father of the nation was to change the fate of people of the country. We are working for the country considering that as our duty. We do not think about what we have got or not. We are working with the concept how something would be given to people.
