Bangladesh clinches SAFF Championship

Bangladesh regained the SAFF U-16 Women's Championship defeating India India 3-2 on penalties in the final.

India took the lead in the fifth minute of the match when Anushka Kumari scores in the fifth minute at ANFA Complex in Nepal's Kathmandu on Sunday (March 10).

Though Bangladeshi girls failed to established control of the match in the first half, team Bangladesh took control of the match in the second half and became desperate to repay the goal.

In the 70th minute of the match, Bangladesh returned to parity with Moumita's goal. If there is no other goal, then the fate of the final is made in the tiebreaker.

Mariam brought Bangladesh in the match when she struck in the 70th minute to level the game from a corner.

The final match rolled into a tie breaker when the keenly contested regulation time finished in a 1-1 goal draw.

However, the fate of the final match decided in tiebreaker. Finally, Bangladesh beats India by 3-2 goals.
