Three children died in Khilgaon on the same day
In Khilgaon, the death of three children was reported on the same day. Among them, two children died in East Goran. Besides, the hanging body of a domestic worker named Joba Akter Juthi (13) was rescued from the house of an engineer and doctor couple in Banasree. In the latest incident, engineer Shakil Ul Alam and doctor Noor-e-Jannat have been detained for questioning.  According to police sources, the police went to the spot after receiving a call from emergency number 999 at around 10 pm on Friday (April 26). Later when rescued Joba, they took her to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. After the observation, the duty doctor  declared her dead at around 12 midnight. Earlier, the hanging body of a fifth grade student named Sabiha Jahan (12) was recovered from a house in East Goran area around 8 pm. The girl's cousin Faruque Khan said Sabiha's father Shahjahan Khan is a retired policeman. The girl was later rushed to a local hospital. But when the condition worsened, she was sent to DMC Hospital. Later the doctor on duty declared her dead. However, her cousin said that he has no idea why a fifth grade girl committed suicide. Meanwhile, another child named Khadija Akter (5) died while playing on the roof  of a five-storey building in the same area on the same day afternoon. In this incident, the girl's uncle Ishaq Mia (20) was seriously injured. This incident occured while they picking mangoes from a tree. Ishaq Mia is now under treatment at DMC Hospital.

Guitar legend Jeff Beck died at 78
Beck is often described as one of the greatest guitar players of all time. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. Guitar legend Jeff Beck has died at 78, his representatives said Wednesday in a statement. The statement said Beck passed away Tuesday after "suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis." "On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound sadness that we share the news of Jeff Beck's passing," the statement said.  "After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he peacefully passed away yesterday," the statement added. "His family asks for privacy while they process this tremendous loss."   Beck's style was influenced by a variety of genres, including rock, blues and jazz fusion. He played the Fender Stratocaster without a plectrum, with his style also incorporating the whammy bar and harmonics.  From The Yardbirds to The Jeff Beck Group  Beck's first foray into stardom began with English rock band The Yardbirds. The band experimented with new sounds during the psychedelic era of the 1960s, bringing Middle Eastern and Indian influences into the mix.  In the mid-1960s, the Yardbirds not only included Beck in their lineup, but also Jimmy Page, who would go on to perform in the rock phenomenon Led Zeppelin.  Beck later went on to a successful solo career, collaborating with other artists and forming the Jeff Beck Group.  He is widely considered to be one of the greatest electric guitar players to ever grace the stage. Beck was inducted into the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame twice, both for his work in The Yardbirds and his solo career.   He won eight Grammy awards during his career from 22 nominations, with US pop culture magazine Rolling Stone ranking him as the fifth greatest guitarist of all time.   Music world mourns Musicians mourned Beck's death and shared their memories of the legendary guitarist on social media. "The six stringed Warrior is no longer here for us to admire the spell he could weave around our mortal emotions. Jeff I will miss you along with your millions of fans,'' Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, who was also a Yardbirds bandmate and close friend of Beck, wrote on Instagram. "With the death of Jeff Beck we have lost a wonderful man and one of the greatest guitar players in the world. We will all miss him so much," The Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger wrote on Twitter. "Jeff was such a nice person and an outstanding iconic, genius guitar player, there will never be another Jeff Beck. His playing was very special & distinctively brilliant!" Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi wrote on Twitter.

26 among 36 Bangladeshis died in US-Bangla plane crash
A total of 26 people including pilot and three crewmembers among 36 Bangladeshis were killed in the plane crash of the US Bangla flight in Kathmandu. Md Kamrul Islam, General Manager, Marketing Support and PR of US-Bangla Airlines in a press briefing at their Baridhara office came up with the remarks on Tuesday. The rest 10 Bangladeshi were under treatment in Nepal, he said. Reports UNB.  US-Bangla Airlines will provide all kinds of assistance in repatriation of deceased and injured Bangladeshis. The bodies will be brought back after completing phrenic report and other formalities, he said. ‘Seven officials of our airline already went to Nepal and we are trying to hand over the bodies as soon as possible’, he added. Over the controversy of the pilot’s fault in the crash, he claimed that the pilot had no fault regarding the crash, rather he might have misguided by the Air Control Tower (ACT) at the last minute, he suggested. ‘We can’t be sure about the cause now, the audio of the ATC conversation and black box contains the evidences which could confirm the main cause after proper inspection’, he added. ‘But six officials who were on-duty at ATC during the accident on Monday were recently transferred elsewhere, according to some Nepalese media report which is confusing’, he said.   The US-Bangla Airlines flight BS211, which flew from Dhaka to Kathmandu carrying 67 passengers and four crew members, crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital of Himalayan country of Nepal on Monday, leaving 51 people, including 26 Bangladeshis, dead.  AH
