Fakhrul demands two city corporation elections afresh

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has demanded for holding the elections of Dhaka’s two city corporation afresh. He said, our two mayoral candidates have upheld the real scenario of the elections. We demand re-election of the two city corporation after cancelling the results of the fraud election.

His demand came in at a joint post election press conference organized at Immanuel Banquette Hall at Gulshan in the capital on Wednesday.

Mirza Fakhrul said, after grabbing the power illegally this government has destroyed the election system. Fair election under Awami League led government is not possible.

BNP standing committee members Nazrul Islam Khan, Selima Rahman, vice-chairmen Md. Shahjahan, Abdul Awal Mintu, Chairperson’s advisor Abul Khayer Bhuiyan, publicity secretary Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Anny, Jatiya Oikyafront top leader and Gonoforum executice president Subrata Chowdhury, Oikyafront office chief Jahangir Alam Mintu among others were present at that time.
