Will rehabilitate hawkers if elected: Taposh
Awami League nominated candidate for the mayoral post in the upcoming Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) election Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said, hawkers in the capital are being exploited in different ways by the middlemen. Nobody does anything for them. If elected, I will rehabilitate the hawkers and will present traffic jam free roads.
He said these while electioneering at Bata intersection nearby Khilgaon in the capital on Monday.
Barrister Taposh said, I am the lone candidate who has given outline to build a modern Dhaka city. Others failed to give that. Nobody gave it earlier. The full-fledged manifesto will be announced within very short period. City dwellers eagerly have accepted the outline. I want to work for the city dwellers as a servant if elected. I want to build Dhaka as a beautiful and well administered city.
About violating election code of conduct he said, it is a mere complain of BNP. They have a habit of complaining, so they are doing this. Their aim is not taking part in the election, developing Dhaka, rather to release their party chief. They are saying that they are participating in election as part of their movement. We are doing our election campaign abiding by the code of conduct.
About EVM Barrister Fazle Noor Taposh said, the inhabitants of Dhaka have accepted the new technology with an open mind. People will not accept the allegations of BNP. Because, they will exercise their voting rights to elect a real serviceman for Dhaka.
Leaders and activists of local Awami League and its associate organizations were present at that time.
