Family members want to shift Khaleda Zia abroad for treatment

Family members of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia want to shift her abroad for better treatment. Khaleda Zia’s sister Selima Islam thinks that she (Khaleda Zia) is not getting proper treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital and her physical condition is deteriorating day by day.

She said, Khaleda Zia has to be shifted abroad for better treatment. She cannot eat, sit or move at the current moment. She is feeling trouble while lying on bed. Her physical condition is very bad.

Selima Islam said these to the newsmen after visiting Begum Khaleda Zia at BSMMU hospital on Friday.

She alleged, no physician visited her in the last two weeks. When asked about whether Begum Khaleda Zia said anything about going abroad she said, she has not said anything. We want to shift her abroad. Because treatment is not going on properly here. Rather her physical condition is deteriorating. We will shift her abroad for better treatment if granted bail.

Khaleda Zia’s sister Selima Islam, brother Shamim Eskander’s wife Kaniz Fatema, elder brother late Sayeed Eskander’s son Avik Eskander and grandchild Antu Eskander and Shamim Ara Bindu-elder sister of Tarique Rahman’s wife went to visit Begum Khaleda Zia at BSMMU hospital at around 3:30 pm.
