Eid-e-Miladunnabi (Sm) on Saturday

The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi is set to celebrate on next Saturday (2nd December, 12th Rabiul Awal). It is the birth and demise day of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (Sm.). An inter-ministerial meeting was held at the meeting room of the Religious Affairs Ministry at 11 am on Tuesday to celebrate the holy day with due religious festivity and fervor. Acting Secretary of the Religious Affairs Ministry Md. Anisur Rahman presided over the meeting.

Different decisions were taken in the meeting to formulate the day in national level and to celebrate it in fair way.

Of the taken decisions there are, message from the President and Prime Minister, national flag hoisting at the government, semi government, corporations, private buildings and at all the establishments of armed forces. Displaying banners embedded with the national flag and ‘Kalima Taiyeba’ at all the important traffic islands and light posts in the Dhaka metropolitan area.

Besides, on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi all the government buildings and important military establishments will be illuminated in the night. It was also decided in the meeting to publish special supplement through Islamic Foundation initiatives to mark the day.

Moreover, special programs will be taken including fortnight long discussion over biography of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (Sm.) and mahfils. Decisions were also taken to hold milad mahfils and discussions over life and achievements of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (Sm.) at the division, district, upazila, city corporation, municipality, armed forces division and private organization level.

On this occasion special programs will be broadcasted in the Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Betar highlighting importance of the day. Special programs will be organized for the children by Bangladesh Shishu Academy.

It was also decided in the meeting that special quality of food will be supplied at all the hospitals, jails, government child homes, old homes and drugs cure centers.

Eid-e-Miladunnabi will be celebrated properly in the Bangladesh embassies and missions in abroad. Special measures will be taken to maintain law and order situation.

Officials of different ministries, departments and corporations including Additional Secretary of Religious Affairs Ministry Fayez Ahmed Bhuiyan were present in the meeting.
