Two patients at DNCC Mohakhali Dedicated Corona Hospital have been diagnosed with deadly coronavirus Indian variant. The information was confirmed by Director of the hospital Brigadier General AKM Nasir on Friday.

Brigadier General AKM Nasir said, we have diagnosed two patients with Indian variant coronavirus. As per direction they were sent to the test hospital (Chest disease hospital). They are under strict observation.

He said, to provide treatment for the covid-19 patients is very challenging. There are risks of being infected in every moment. As per our experience, we have to be conscious about the virus, we have to wear masks and abide by other health guidelines. It would be devastating if the Indian variant spreads.

According to the WHO weekly report, Indian variant coronavirus has been traced in 44 countries across the world.

According to AFP report, this variant was first identified in India in October last year. Coronavirus infection and number of deaths have increased in recent times in India due this variant. After India it has spread most in UK.
