DU dormitories to reopen on March 13

The authority of Dhaka University has decided to reopen the institution. In this pandemic situation it will be opened from March 13. Though the university will be opened but only examinees can stay in the dormitories. The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the academic council on Sunday afternoon.

Confirming the matter university Proctor Dr. AKM Golam Rabbani said, the residential halls will be reopened from March 13 only for the examinations of the honors and masters students. At that time students of other years cannot stay in the halls.

Sources said, in the meeting decisions were taken to announce date of examinations within two weeks of opening the halls, listing down which examinations should be taken early and to begin full time office hours from February 7. By this time there will be no obstacle to hold the examinations for those the schedules are announced.

Besides, in the meeting it was informed that observing the overall situation after reopening the university the time and date of tuition in the classrooms will be announced.
