The way to get HSC, equivalent exam results from home

The results of HSC and equivalent examination of the year 2020 will be published at 10 am tomorrow (Saturday). The results will be published at the International Mother Language Institute at Segun Bagicha in the capital. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be connected in the event virtually from Ganabhaban. Education ministry PRO M A Khayer confirmed the information.

Meanwhile, the Pre-registration process to get the result has begun. The pre-registered candidates will get the results through their mobile telephones sitting at home. Country’s telecom provider TeleTalk earlier had urged for registration. For pre-registration the student has to go to the message option on his/her phone. First one has to write HSC space> Education board name space> Roll number space> 2020 and then send the message to 16222 number.

The pre-registered students will get the results on their mobile phones after publishing it. Besides, it will be available on the website (www.educationboardresults.gov.bd). Besides the results will be published on the websites of concerned education boards.

Total 13 lakh 65 thousand 789 candidates were scheduled to take part in the HSC and equivalent examination of the year 2020. It was scheduled to begin from April 1. But due to the increasing number of cases due to coronavirus the education institutions of the country were declared closed from 17 March, 2020. On October 7 Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni informed that HSC and equivalent examination results will be published based on the average results of JSC and SSC. The results will be published considering 25 per cent marks from JSC-JDC and 75 per cent marks from SSC or equivalent examination. Later the government amended the law in the parliament to publish the results without taking examinations. As the President ascended three bills, the gazette was published and the date to publish HSC and equivalent examination results was finalized.
