The inter-education board has not taken any decision over the time frame and method for holding the suspended HSC and equivalent examinations. A meeting will be held in this regard on September 24. Final decision on HSC examinations will be taken in that meeting.
Some sources of the education ministry have confirmed the matter to Rtv news.
It is known that while briefing the newsmen about cabinet meeting last Monday Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said, the matter of holding examinations was discussed in the meeting as unspecified subject. No central decision will be given in this regard.
He said, the ministry will take decision about holding examinations considering the overall situation after discussing the matter with education boards and heads of educational institutions.
After that cabinet decision, the education ministry directed to hold coordination meeting of inter education board committee.
The HSC and equivalent examinations were scheduled to hold from April 1 of the current year. But due to coronavirus pandemic situation the examinations were suspended on March 22. Nearly 1.2 million students are going to take part in the examinations.
