DU decides not to join uniform admission test system

Dhaka University (DU) has decided not to participate in the uniform admission system for the public universities in the country.

The decision was finalized at the academic council meeting on Monday.

Earlier, on Wednesday BUET and on Thursday Chattogram University decided not to participate in the integrated admission test by UGC. Jahangirnagar University and Rajshahi University also expressed their unwillingness for the integrated admission test system.

On January 23 decision was taken for holding integrated admission test in a view exchange meeting of University Grants Commission (UGC) with the Vice Chancellors of the public universities.

Later, on February 11 at the standing committee meeting of Bangladesh University Council, the organization of the Vice Chancellors of public universities, decision was taken to hold integrated admission test from this year.
