No examination up to class three from this year: Secretary

Secretary of primary and mass education ministry Akram Al Hossain said, from this year students up to class three need not to take part in examinations.

He said this at a press conference on the occasion of publishing results of primary scholarships at the ministry meeting room at secretariat on Sunday.

The Secretary said, there will be evaluation process though examinations are revoked. This process will continue to promote student from one class to another. Examinations will be held in class four and class five.

He said, drives against coaching centers are going on throughout the country. Concerned were directed in this regard. Actions are also being taken through mobile courts.

In the press conference it was said that 33 thousand students have obtained talent pool scholarships based on the results of Primary Education Completion (PEC) examinations. In the general grade 49 thousand 500 students obtained scholarships. In total 82 thousand 500 students obtained scholarships in the primary level this year.
