Maritimes ports asked to hoist signal no 3

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said that all the maritime ports of the country have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three.

Meteorologist Md. Abdul Mannan said, Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three as the low over the North Bay and adjoining area has intensified into a well-marked low over the same area. Besides there is fear of heavy rainfall in Barishal and Chattogram division.

He also said, all fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice and not to venture into the deep sea.

On Saturday 6 am to the next 24 hours weather forecast it is said, in different parts of Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet and Dhaka divisions and in some parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions there are possibilities of gusty wind, rain with thunder shower and thunder showers.

The temperature of the day may fall down to 1 to 3 degree Celsius in the night considering the temperature of the day, the meteorological department said.
