A volcano located at a height 1,325 meters above the sea level, has been reported in eastern Indonesia's Ibu mountain that spewed an ash tower more than 3.5 kilometers into the sky after it erupted Sunday morning (April 28). It lasts about 206 seconds.

Mount Ibu, located on the island of Halmahera in North Maluku province, erupted at 12.37 am (local time) and the eruption lasted more than three minutes. Authorities warn people to keep away and not conduct any activity within 2-kilometers.

Authorities urged people to wear face masks and glasses when doing outdoor activities and to anticipate falling volcanic ash.

Indonesia, a vast archipelago nation, experiences frequent seismic and volcanic activity due to its position on the Pacific "Ring of Fire."

Earlier this month, Mount Ruang in North Sulawesi erupted, forcing thousands of people to evacuate.
