Rtv, the country's leading private satellite television channel, has entered into 14 years on Wednesday. To mark the day, the channel organised a daylong colourful programme at its Bengal Multimedia Studio at Tejgaon in the city. On this occasion, Rtv Managing Director Humayun Kabir Bablu, Chief Executive Officer Syed Ashik Rahman, Prime Minister’s Media Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr. Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia were present. Children and teenagers gather in front of television sets when the song ‘Cholchhe Gari Sisimpure’ is played. Such has been happening for more than last ten years from villages to the towns and cities in Bangladesh. Sisimpur has turned into a part of our families. Sisimpur is helping to create base of mindset for the children and teenagers. Halum, Tuktuki, Ikri, Shiku- all are popular across the country. After being engulfed with love of people from all ages Sisimpur, the popular program of hundreds of thousands people has stepped into the eleventh year. The new season of Sisimpur was inaugurated with the title ‘Stepping into eleven from ten, the victory will come this time also’ (Dosh periye egaro, joy hobe joy ebaro) at the International Mother Language Institute at Segun Bagicha on Thursday. The program was resonant with the cheerful noise of the children. Tuktuki, Halum, Ikri and Shiku gave much pleasantry to the children. Sisimpur used to present the matters of nutrition, water safety, biodiversity and friendship in such a way which children understand easily and learn through fun. Sesame Workshop made the program Sisimpur in Bangladesh under overall supervision of USAID. Sisimpur is being telecasted on the popular television channel Rtv from its Season-6. Popular writer Ashraf, for a few days, doesn’t find plots to write new stories. He feels almost like prisoner in the four walls of Dhaka city. The mind is unstable and needs to have a clean breath. But he cannot finish writing because there is no line in mind. At that time, Shahid comes to Ashraf's house. After listening to Shahid, both of them get out to find a good story. Ashraf thinks it would not be bad to have a travel for a little while, at the same time good story might be found. Ashraf cannot imagine that the story he is about to find is the story of Shahid's own life. Young man Shaheed newly came to study in Dhaka. During a purposeless train journey on a holiday, a girl named Rupa first meets him in the station. At first sight Shahid falls in love with Rupa. Rupa studies in Dhaka. No parents, close relatives to say are maternal uncle and aunt. Shahid gets acquainted with Rupa while waiting for train at the station. Shaheed hides his destination and starts traveling in the same train. There is much chit-chat in the train between the two. After Rupa’s getting down from the train, Shahid himself also gets down. Then he asks Rupa the phone number and instead Rupa takes his phone number. This is how sequences of “Ekti Valo Golper Khoje” (In Search of a Good Story) go ahead. Farhan Jovan, Salha Khanom Nadia, Ashis Ashraful, Ananda Khaled, Ferdous Arefin and many others have played roles in this play. Mahdi Shaon directed the play in the writings of Muhammad Abu Rajin. Satellite television has brought the world in people’s home. It has enriched life by providing information. Rtv is one of the best among the top popular satellite channels in Bangladesh. Apart from this there are some excellent attainment in the year 2017. At the beginning of the year Rtv presented a star shining evening to the spectators. The channel organized ‘Lux-Rtv Star Award’ to recognize the achievers in the cultural arena. Rtv is also aware of its own social responsibility. So it observed ‘World Autism Awareness Day’ on April 2 among its different programs. This channel is always vocal on the matter of women empowerment.
