'Pathaan' crossed Rs 200 crore mark

After a slight dip in collections on Friday, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer 'Pathaan' witnessed a jump in collections on Saturday, as predicted.
The film witnessed a growth of around 40% on day 4 with even better jumps at the biggest multiplexes.
The Day 4 collections of 'Pathaan' are expected to be around Rs 52 crore nett in Hindi, reports Box Office India.
This will be the third 50 crore, since Friday saw a dip in collections. The film crossed the 200 crore nett mark in just four days and the total collection is somewhere around Rs 212 crore nett.
A further jump is expected on Sunday especially in the mass centres. In fact, trade predicts the numbers could be similar to that of opening day on Thursday.
The film is on its way to become the highest grossing original content film post pandemic on Sunday and is expected to cross the numbers of RRR (Hindi Film). It will easily cross that of KGF 2 but we will have to wait till Monday to confirm the same.
The film managed to breach the 50 crore nett mark on Saturday and now it can look at a target of Rs 270 or 275 crore nett for the five day weekend.
Delhi / UP circuit has witnessed unprecedented business and so is the Gujarat / Saurashtra belt.
Trade analyst Girish Johar had said, “Pathaan is on a massive overdrive. The traction, awareness and craze is quite high. After a while, Shah Rukh Khan, the Indian actor is back on the big screen, so his fans are going berserk.
Also with John Abraham who also has a huge following and mega stature, along with the very glamorous and talented Deepika Padukone, this one is the best of what Bollywood has to offer presently. I expect the film, on a non-holiday to start at least in the range of 35-38 crore, eyeing an India gross of 200 crore over its five-day weekend and along with overseas, it can easily have a possible shot of breaching the 300 crore global box office mark."

She said, "Currently I am not used to doing the roles that I am asked for. Meanwhile I got an offer to do a movie with Shakib Khan. That movie was supposed to be shot in America, Canada. But I did not agree. Because I don't want to play the role of a mother only."
"In our neighbouring countries, Amitabh Bachchan is playing central roles even at this age. Sridevi played the lead role even before her death. But this scenario is very rare in our country.
Everyone thinks that, when we get old, we do not get any role except the character of parents. That's why I am away from the movie. If the story is good and heart-touching, the audience will definitely see me again in the cinema." The actress added.
Incidentally, Babita was last seen in Nargis Akhter's 'Putro Ekhon Poishawala' movie.
However, she assured that if she gets chance to play any central role in a movie in future, she will surely act in it.
Srijit accused of body shaming
Recently, the New Year's program and the success party of Srijit Mukherji's film were quite accumulated. Actress Sauraseni Maitra was present also. Suddenly Srijit body-shamed her amid of the party.

Paper Rhyme vocalist Saad is no more
Ahmed Saad, the lead vocalist of the country's popular band Paper Rhyme, has passed away at the age of 52 after a prolonged battle with cancer. He died at a private hospital in the capital on Tuesday night (April 23) around 12 o'clock.
It is known that Saad was suffering from cancer for a long time. He had a heart attack three days ago and admitted to United Hospital. He suffered another heart attack on Tuesday morning. Later the attending physician declared him dead.
The news of the singer's death was confirmed by his school friend and Paper Rhyme band member Anindya Kabir Abhik. He said, 'Saad was suffering from cancer for several years. Sometimes he recovered a bit but a few months ago, cancer spread throughout his body.'
The funeral of Saad is expected to take place on Thursday (April 25), but the matter will be finalised from his family.
In the 90s, the band Paper Rhyme captured the hearts of listeners by releasing only one album. The band was well known for their unique lyrics and compositions in genres such as hard, melodic, and soft rock. Their songs like "Andhokar Ghore", "Akasher Ki Rong", and "Elomelo" became particularly top favorite songs of the audience.
In 1996, the band Paper Rhyme's first album was released under the banner of Soundtek. Basically, the band was formed by some school friends on January 24, 1992. Its lineup consisted of Saad on vocals, Rashed on guitar, Nasir on keyboards, Sumon on beige guitar, and Abhik on drums.

But whenever I started running...I laugh.'
Aamir said, 'When I started running, the shorts come off because it was fixed by tape. I faced a lot of difficulty in that shot. I tried to run fast, but I couldn't. What’s the big deal if you see me naked? We need to get the shot.' I didn’t feel embarrassed at that time. I was also shocked that I did it.'
Shakib Al Hasan lashes out at Zayed Khan

Accused in attacking Salman Khan's house firing commits suicide
The Mumbai Police recently arrested two people accused of firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's house.
According to the Mumbai police, Anuj Thapan was seen with serious injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon (May 1).
A Times of India report says, one of the accused, Anuj Thapan, tried to commit suicide in police custody on Wednesday (May 1) afternoon. He was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. On April 14, Thapan was accused of supplying the weapon used in the firing outside the Bollywood actor Salman’s Galaxy Apartments.
Apart from this, three more accused named Vicky Gupta (24), Sagar Pal (21), Sonu Kumar Chander Bishnoi (37) were arrested in connection with this case. who were accused of firing outside Salman's house, are in police custody.
They were arrested after they were caught on CCTV footage while leaving the area on a motorcycle on the night of the incident.
