Popular actor Tele Samad passes away
Popular actor of Bangla film arena Tele Samad is no more. He breathed his last at 1:30 pm on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Square Hospital in the capital. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.
He was 74. His wife Rekha Samad confirmed the news of death.
She said to Rtv online, as his physical condition deteriorated he was admitted to Square Hospital on Thursday. He was shifted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) last night. He was under supervision of orthopedic expert Dr. Kamal Pasha. The doctor phoned me in the noon and said that he is no more.
Tele Samad was born on January 8, 1945 at Nayagaon area in Munshiganj. His real name is Abdus Samad. He was educated in Fine Arts Institute of Dhaka University. He made his debut in the film arena through the film 'Kar Bou'. He performed in 600 films through four decades. His last film was 'Zero Degree' which was released in 2015. Apart from his acting he played role as vocalist in more than 50 songs in film industry. The actor was very much interested in writing, song and painting.
