Tarana Halim secures nomination for reserved seat

Awami League (AL) announced the names of 48 candidates for the reserved seats for women in the 12th national parliament today (Feb 14). Actress Tarana Halim, former State Minister, is also nominated for reserved seat.

AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the names on Wednesday (Feb 14) afternoon.

Tarana Halim was first elected as a Member of Parliament in 2009 in the reserved seat. Later in 2014, she was re-elected as a Member of Parliament in the 10th national parliamentary election.

Earlier, on Wednesday (February 14), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina met the Awami League nomination aspirents for the reserved seat at Ganabhaban.
