Prices of diesel, petrol, octane reduced by Taka 5

The government has decided to reduce prices of diesel, petrol and octane by taka five per liter.

The information came through energy and mineral resource division on Monday evening.

According to the newly fixed prices, diesel and kerosene will be charged taka 109 per liter, price of petrol will be 125 taka per liter and octane will be sold taka 130 per liter.

The government on August 5 increased the prices of fuel to reduce expense of subsidy and on pretext of fuel price hike in the international markets.

At that time price of diesel and kerosene per liter was increased by taka 34, petrol per liter was increased by 44 taka and price of octane per liter was increased by taka 46. At the subscriber level price of per liter diesel and kerosene was fixed at taka 114, petrol was fixed at 130 and price of every liter octane was fixed at taka 135.
