59 arrested in DMP's anti drug drive

On charges of selling and consuming drugs, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 59 people in different areas in the capital.

During the operation, 5083 pieces of Yaba, 145 grams of heroin, 54 kg of 925 grams 34 Puria Cannabis, 25 narcotic injections and 59 bottles of Phensedyl were seized.

As part of regular anti-narcotics operation, Dhaka Metropolitan Police conducted operation in various areas of the capital.

Under the Narcotics Control Act, 45 cases have been registered against the arrested in the concerned police stations.
