Fake corona certificate: RAB shuts Shahabuddin medical

After Regent and JKG, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has shut down Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital over allegation of providing fake corona test certificates. RAB found proofs of different irregularities including providing fake corona certificates and closed the hospital. But RAB did not seal the hospital as there were patients admitted.

RAB conducted the drive on Sunday afternoon. At that time they arrested Assistant Director of the hospital Dr. Abul Hasnat.

After the drive RAB legal and media wing director Ashik Billah said, the hospital was shut. Our drive completed at aroung 11 pm. Information is being gathered to file case. Executive Magistrate will seal the hospital. The patients admitted there are going to other places. It will be sealed after their departure.

During the drive RAB also detained store keeper Shariz Kabir and took him to their office. The RAB Director said that they have found nine types of allegations against the hospital.

The RAB officials said, they conducted coronavirus rapid test without government authorization. They supplied fake reports, turned negative reports as positive and admitted the patients. They also tested covid-19 samples in different laboratories and issued the report on their pads.

The license of the hospital was not renewed for one year. RAB also said that they found 10 years back expired surgical equipments in the hospital’s operation theater.
