The court has granted three-day remand for recently license cancelled JKG Healthcare chairman Dr. Sabrina Arif over allegation of irregularities in coronavirus test.

On Monday, police produced Sabrina before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahinur Rahman seeking 4-day remand. After the hearing the court granted three-day remand.

On Sunday (July 12) Sabrina was summoned by the Tejgaon police for quizzing. After that she was arrested. At that time she acknowledged that she provided training for the fake health workers.

After the primary interrogation Tejgaon division Deputy Commissioner Harun Ur Rashid informed the newsmen that after arresting Himu and his wife Tanzina of JKG Group they acknowledged that they used to collect samples by visiting patients’ homes. As she is a nurse Tanzina used to collect samples in the day but those were not sent in the laboratory. As Himu is a graphic designer he prepared fake test certificates of the samples collected. They usually took five thousand taka for fee per person for the test and it was 100 dollars for the foreigner. During the interrogation they said that JKG Group was associated with the malpractice. Then six persons including JKG CEO Ariful Haque were arrested and information about Dr. Sabrina came from them.

Mentionable, JKG Healthcare provided test reports to 27 thousand patients. Of those 11 thousand 540 samples were tested maintaining the procedures through IEDCR and the rest 15 thousand 460 fake reports were prepared. In this connection a laptop computer was seized.
