Rifat murder: Charges framed against 10 including Minni

The court has framed charges against 10 adult charge sheet accused in connection with Rifat Sharif murder case.

The charges were framed against the accused after hearing before the court of Barguna district and session judge Md. Asaduzzaman on Wednesday. The court will begin hearing of testimony in this case on January 8. Mahbubul Bari Aslam, lawyer of Ayesha Siddika Minni confirmed the information.

Investigation Officer of the case, Md. Humayun Kabir gave charge sheet against 24 accused in this sensational murder case on September 2.

The charge sheet accused are- Rakibul Hasan alias Rifat Farazi (23), Al Kaiyum alias Rabbi Akon (21), Mohaiminul Islam Sifat (19), Rezwan Ali Khan Hridoy alias Tiktok Hridoy (22), Md. Hasan (19), Md. Musa (22), Ayesha Siddika Minni (19), Rafiul Islam Rabbi (20), Md. Sagor (19) and Kamrul Hasan Saimun (21).

The charge sheet accused who were treated as children are- Rashidul Hasan Rishan alias Rishan Farazi (17), Rakibul Hasan Rifat Hawlader (15), Abu Abdullah alias Raihan (16), Oliullah alias Oli (16), Joy Chandra Sarkar alias Chandan (17), Md. Nayeem (17), Tanvir Hossain (17), Nazmul Hasan (14), Rakibul Hasan Niamat (15), Syed Maruf Billah alias Mahibullah (17), Maruf Mallik (17), Prince Mollah (15), Ratul Shikder Joy (16) and Ariyan Hossain Shraban (16).

Another adult accused Musa Bond is yet to be arrested. Teenager accused Prince Mollah is on bail granted by the High Court. Besides, Ayesha Siddika Minni is also on bail granted by the High Court.

Mentionable, Rifat Sharif was hacked sporadically in front of Barguna Government College on June 26 last year. Later he succumbed to his injuries on that day.
