Another arrested over gang-rape in Noakhali

Police have arrested one more people for his alleged involvement in the gang rape of a woman in Subarnachar upazila of Noakhali.

The arrestee, Salahuddin, 35, was arrested from Sultanpur of Feni in the early hours of Sunday, said Elias Sharif, superintendent of Noakhali police.

With this one, eight people, including Awami League leader Ruhul Amin, were arrested over the incident.

A group of people allegedly raped the mother of four for voting for “sheaf of paddy” in the December 30 election.
