Circular rail track for Dhaka

Railway Minister Md. Mujibul Haque has said, the government has taken plan to introduce circular rail track for Dhaka to ease the traffic congestion.

He said this on Thursday while replying to a question in the parliament.

While replying to a question of treasury bench member M Abdul Latif he also said, the probable survey proposal of the project was approved in the planning commission in December 27.

The Railway Minister said, under the survey project initiatives were taken to appoint consultant. After completion of the survey activities investment project will be taken to construct circular rail track.

He said, it will play a helpful role to ease traffic congestion in Dhaka if the project is implemented.

The traffic jam in Dhaka has reached in unendurable condition. People of capital Dhaka at present are planning their day to day programs considering the reality of traffic congestion. To avert it the government is taking new projects like circular rail track.
