DMP’s traffic discipline week starts from Sunday

To inspire people of the capital for abiding by the traffic rules and to ensure safe roads Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have declared to observe ‘Traffic Discipline Week’ again. DMP’s Traffic Division will conduct the traffic discipline week from March 17 to March 23.

The information came through a press release signed by DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia on Saturday.

In the press release DMP said, to develop traffic management system and to bring traffic disciple in Dhaka metropolitan area traffic week was observed from 5 to 14 August last year and to implement strict traffic rules month long traffic consciousness month was observed from 5 to 30 September.

Besides, traffic discipline week was observed from October 24 to 31 and traffic discipline fortnight was observed from January 15 to February 2.

To continue the development trend decision was also taken to observe traffic discipline week in every month. In this continuation DMP traffic division will conduct traffic discipline week activities from March 17 to 23.

Under these activities specific plans are taken to inspire people of Dhaka metropolitan area to abide by traffic rules and to develop traffic discipline management. All city dwellers are requested to cooperate for bringing the activities a success.
