Aircraft’s wheel blast while emergency landing at Shahjalal airport

A wheel of a Thai Airways aircraft blasted while making emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Tuesday.

According to the local source, though the wheel blasted but all the passengers were safe.

Senior Assistant Police Super of Armed Police Battalion (APBN) Tarique Ahmed stationed in the airport confirmed the matter to the media.

He said, the Thai Airways aircraft took off from Bangkok and landed in Hazrat Shahjalal airport at around 12:15 pm. The aircraft made its landing a little bit out of the track as there was stagnant water on the runway. For this reason one of the wheels blasted.

Another named Minhaz Uddin Chowdhury said, flight operation was halted more than couple of hours in the airport.

Two passengers of the aircraft said, the pilot tried to make landing for two times. Passengers were panicked at that moment. The sound of the blast was huge.
