Heat wave in 4 districts, Rain may occur in few districts

Some areas of eight divisions of the country may experience storm. Apart from this, the heat wave may continue over four districts, said the Meteorological Department.

On Monday, May 1, Bangladesh Meteorologist Department estimated this information.

Hafizur Rahman, a meteorologist of the Directorate of Meteorology, said, "In some places of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions and in two places of Barisal, Khulna and Chattogram divisions, there may be temporary rain with gusty wind or rain with thunder. Along with that, there may be scattered hailstorms at some places.

Hafizur Rahman added, "Mild heat waves are flowing over Chattogram, Rangamati, Bandarban and Feni districts and may continue.

Day temperatures may drop across the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely to increase in the next two days."

On Sunday, April 30, the highest temperature in the country was 38 degrees Celsius in Bandarban. That day, the maximum temperature in Dhaka was 35.5 degrees Celsius.

Yesterday, jessore recorded, the highest rainfall, 31 mm in country.

According to the weather synoptic condition, the extension of depression is located over West Bengal and adjoining areas. There are no warnings and no signals to be issued for the country's inland river ports till 1 pm today, the Meteorological Department said.
