Rail communication with Dhaka resumes
The rail communication between Dhaka and other parts of the country has begun after five hours of interval on Sunday following a commuter train derailment at Natun Bazar area in Tongi that claimed five lives. At least 25 people were also injured in the accident.
After the accident the rail communication between Dhaka and Chittagong, Sylhet, Mymensingh, northern and southern parts of the country snapped. But the rail communication was restored after relief train came in.
Station Manager of Tongi Halimuzzaman said that the rail communication turned into normal after 5 pm.
An investigation team was formed headed by railway eastern zone Chief Engineer Md. Arifuzzaman to find out the reason behind the accident. The committee was asked to submit the report within three days.
