Bangladesh, Malaysia sign MoU on workers recruitment

A new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today (Sunday) between Bangladesh and Malaysia for recruitment of Bangladeshi workers as Malaysia has reopened its labour market to Bangladesh after three years.

It was signed in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, according to a press release of the Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry received in Dhaka.

Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmad and Malaysian Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M Saravanan signed the MoU on
behalf of their respective sides, the release added.

Secretary of the Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, Bangladesh High Commissioner in Malaysia Md Golam
Sarwar, Deputy Seretery General of Malaysia Human Resources Ministry Datuk Muhd Khair Razman Bin Mohamed Annuar and Director General of Bureau of
Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) Md Shahidul Alam and other high officials of both the countries were present at the MoU signing ceremony.
