John Kerry in Dhaka to invite PM

US President John Kerry’s special envoy on climate affairs John Kerry has reached in Dhaka. He reached at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:30 am on Friday. Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen and US Ambassador in Bangladesh Earl Robert Miller welcomed him at the airport.

It was known that he came to Dhaka to invite Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in World Climate Summit scheduled to be held on April 22. The summit will take place participated by 40 heads of state or government virtually.

He will leave the country after four hours of arrival.

He will take part a joint press conference with Foreign Minisyter Dr. A K Abdul Momen at 2:15 pm.

Mentionable Bangladesh is one of the most affected nations in the world owning to climate change. The country is also the chairman of Climate Vulnerable Forum. Earlier on August 23, 2016 John Kerry came to Dhaka on a day long trip while being the Secretary of State.
