Private practice banned for govt physicians in office time
A ban has been imposed on the physicians of government hospitals to prevent them from private practice during office time. The taskforce committee of the health ministry issued the direction on Wednesday.
It was clearly said in the health ministry notice that no physician of the government hospital can perform his or her duty in the private health organization during his office time. But he can perform the duty in this time after informing the taskforce or concerned members. The license and registration numbers have to be mentioned clearly for the hospital, diagnostic center, lab or clinics.
In the taskforce meeting decision was taken to conduct drive against the illegal activities and inspection for the private hospitals as well as the government hospitals.
