Govt considering reopening of educational institutions: Cabinet Secy
Khandker Anwarul Islam
Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam has said, education ministry is considering for reopening of schools and colleges. We are not going to take any central decision in this regard rather concerned ministry will decide about it.

Khandker Anwarul Islam said this in a briefing at secretariat on Monday.

He said, there are examinations in the schools and colleges, so concerned ministry will take the decision considering the latest corona situation. Because, there is no situation at this moment to impose such big embargo centrally.

The Cabinet Secretary said, I have talked to Germany 10-12 days ago and was informed that they are going to open everything, though there are detections. But what would they do, how many days those would be kept shut. For this reason we have asked concerned ministry to take decision.

He said, to open educational institutions they are considering differently and qawmi madrasas have been opened.

Mentionable, all the educational institutions of the country have been closed since March 17 due to coronavirus pandemic situation and it has been extended up to October 3. In this situation online educational programs have been started through Sangsad TV and Bangladesh Betar.
